Can I still stay for the year? or how long do I get?
It depends. If the apartment is sold/transferred by foreclosure, then your lease is void and they can legally evict you (though they might not want to because they are not in the business of finding tenants just collecting money lol). If the property is transferred by a short sale then the lease is valid and technically can’t evict you.
