Can I paid creditor by Debit card and then cancel the card?
Can I paid a creditor by my debit card. But people here said don’t let creditor knows your bank info. So can I put just enough money to pay the settlement. After the payment is cleared, I request the bank to issue me another debit card?
Or a new debit card will not help? Will the creditor gets my checking info once i give him my debit card number?
The bank is not going to just give you another number – that costs them money. Not to mention, the old debit card gets linked to the new debit card and account.
You are better off getting a money order and mailing them the payment.
